For this year’s festival poster, I wanted to put older women at the centre of the celebration. They are an essential part of the town’s identity, yet they are rarely represented as the protagonists of festive imagery. Surrounded by Ondarroa’s old town, the illustration captures a joyful moment of friendship and community. Small details—the purple feminist earring, the Palestine pin and the LGBTQIA+ bracelet—add another layer to the story, reflecting values that are also part of the community today.
